Where can I install it?
The beacon mounts to any indoor window. All you have to do is remove the centrifugal paper and attach the antenna to a clean smooth surface.
How do I know if this is compatible with my cellular router?
Count your cellular antenna ports. If your router has 4 LTE/5G ports like the Katalyst SPARK, then yes, it is compatible. If it only has 2 LTE/5G ports like the CSG m212, it is also compatible, but you will have two cables unused. Skip the ports labeled “Wi-Fi” - those aren’t for cellular.
You say this is compatible with Katalyst Spark, but doesn't that have 6 antennas?
The Spark has (4) Cellular and (2) Wifi antennas. The Beacon is only needed to connect to the (4) cellular SMA connections as this only improves cellular signal for cellular-based routers that run on carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc.
Can I move the Antenna once its installed?
Yes, the adhesive is strong, but you can firmly remove it from the first installation and move it where needed. Just be sure to cover the adhesive once it's removed so nothing gets stuck to your Beacon.
Can I mount this to my wall?
Technically yes if you are certain you will never remove it. Once it is stuck to your wall it may damage you wall when you are removing it. A clean window is the best option.
Do I install this indoors or outdoors?
It is recommended to install the Beacon on the inside of your window ensuring easy connection to your router of choice.
